ACPSEM strongly believes that education is essential in developing and maintaining standards in the workplace. Clinical EducationThe ACPSEM considers that a medical physicist training program is essential for the development of the profession, as well as for the recruitment of new medical physicists. To this end the ACPSEM, through the Specialty Interest Groups and the Professional Standards Board, have developed training programs in nuclear medicine, radiation oncology and radiology. The standard program is expected to take 4 to 5 years, but may be shorter if exemptions are granted. For more infomation see Clinical Training. Continuing Professional Development (CPD)The ACPSEM CPD Program aims at encouraging and tracking member's professional development and continued education striving for the highest quality patient care and safest practice for the benefit of the individual, patients, profession and the community.
