The Victorian/Tasmanian Branch represents the members of two states working as physical scientists and engineers in medicine. The Victorian/Tasmanian Branch represents the interest of physical scientists and engineers working in the medical arena within Victoria and Tasmania. The branch is run by a committtee of volunteers who work tirelessly to develop the profession for the membership. The regular scientific meetings and occasional social functions, provide opportunities for members to build networks within which knowledge can be shared and new ideas developed.
Preliminary Notice of Annual General Meeting. Due to the EPSM conference being held in December this year it has been necessary to move the normal timing of ACPSEM Vic/Tas AGM forward. As such the AGM is being held on Tuesday, 16th November, 2010 at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The evening will start at 4:30 with nibbles, followed by the speaker who will be Mr Gary Disher, the new General Manager for the ACSPEM. Gary will address the Victorian/Tasmanian Branch and will be sharing his vision of where he sees the College heading in the coming future. This will then be followed by the AGM and traditional Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre rooftop BBQ. A formal notice regarding the AGM will be forwarded shortly. Also a note regarding vacancies on the Vic/Tas committee. Currently there are a number of unfilled positions on the Vic/Tas Committee. In particular there are openings for interested members to represent Tasmania, biomedical engineers, private industry, education on the committee. There is also the unique option to take up the position of Vice-Chair on the committee. If you have an interest in being on the committee and you want more information please feel free to contact myself or Alison Chapman ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
